Dr Rhys Jones

Ngāti Kahungunu | Associate Professor, The University of Auckland

Dr Rhys Jones (Ngāti Kahungunu) is a Public Health Physician and Associate Professor in Māori Health at the University of Auckland. His research addresses Indigenous health and health equity, with a particular focus on the environmental determinants of Māori health and wellbeing. He is a passionate advocate for health equity, Indigenous rights and climate justice. Rhys was the founding Co-Convenor of OraTaiao: The New Zealand Climate and Health Council and is co-director of Climate Health Aotearoa, a national climate change and health research network.
